Ingredients
- 1/2 cup (125 ml – 3/4 su bardağı) milk lukewarm
- 1 tsp sugar
- 40 gr fresh yeast (or 2 tsp active dry or instant yeast)
- 3 1/3 cup (500 gr) all purpose flour
- 1,5 tsp baking powder
- 1,5 tsp tuz
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 3/4 cup yoghurt (180 gr – 1 su bardağı)
- 1 egg
For the filling
- 6 Tbsp butter*, melted
- ½ cup brown¨sugar
- 1 Tbsp cinnamon
For the glaze
- 3 Tbsp butter*, melted
- 1½ Tbsp heavy cream*
- ¾ cup powdered sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- In a small bowl, combine lukewarm milk with sugar and yeast. Let stand until yeast activates. It will become foamy and start expanding.
- Put the yeast mixture together with all other ingredients in a bowl of your mixer or food processor. Mix well. You should get soft dough, similar to pizza dough. If the dough is too dry, add a little bit of milk or water. If it is too soft, add just a little bit of flour.
- You can use Crazy Dough immediately. Shape it into whatever shape you like, wait a little bit (15-20 minutes in the warm kitchen) until it starts expanding, then pop in hot oven.
OR TRY THE CREAM CHEESE GLAZE INSTEAD:
- 3 Tbsp Unsalted Butter, softened
- 3 oz Cream Cheese, softened (or microwaved for 15 seconds)
- 1¼ cups Confectioner’s Sugar
- ½ tsp Vanilla Extract
- pinch Salt
